  1. What I really like about these two images is that they are, at least to me, very scientific. To me it seems like the artist had used the theory of perceptual constancy and taken it to a different level. Perceptual constancy is the process where the mind automatically fills in the gap that the the eyes cannot really see. In the first image, the mind knows it is bottles of paint because it fills the gaps surrounding each block. I really like the colors in the first image as well. In the second image, I like how the blocks are placed in such in way that I can't even tell what the original picture was. To me, it's interesting how you play with the idea of the whole by breaking it apart and sort of distorting it. Really cool.

I think what could make your artwork stronger is some sort of theme or overall perception that you would want to leave the viewer with. Right now, these images seem chaotic and kind of confuse the senses. What you could do is combine shapes in such a way that they almost say something or make the viewer feel something, so that the work doesn't seem monotonous and that process could also help you further venture into your ideas about the use of shapes.
