Yosep, your digital artwork is very commendable. It’s something I’ve never seen anyone in Woodstock do and I must say your theme of ‘Glass Property’ certainly reflects on the two pieces. There is an evident amount of detail seen in both the artworks but it seems as though it is still incomplete.
Your first piece, of the building, I feel, requires more of the 3D effect to create a more ‘solid’ or glass like form – with the use of straighter lines the construction could have been made to look more realistic. As a suggestion I would also advise you to use more highlights and shades on the edges of the building. Also the structure of the building seems quite disproportional to what it would genuinely look like.
The second piece is quite complex and somewhat difficult to understand. I feel that the work is a bit dark and lacks some tone; I suggest using more highlights and dark lines to make the figure of the person as well as the glass box more prominent. The portrait could have also been more effective with the layers by making the foreground more detailed and the background more blurred/obscured – this could give viewers a sense of being inside the glass box viewing the ground.
Other than these point I feel that your art is incredibly creative and your composition and ideas are very diverse. The pieces immediately capture attention and your use of bold, dark, colors is very nice. Overall – great job.
