JR (Street-Artist Photography)

INSIDE OUT Project - Thailand
JR is a photographer who won the TED prize in 2011. He works in the spirit of graffiti/street artists, but with the unusual medium of photography. He takes black-and-white portraits of people, prints them large-scale, and then pastes them around communities. Often, his work explores social issues such as feminism and war. If you're interested, check out the Inside Out Project - you could be involved!

  1. This type of street photography is very interesting as it also highlights the issues that people face on a daily basis. not only that, it also helps people to let out their artistic instincts with projects such as the Inside Out Project. most importantly, there is humor in most of these photographs which makes it more entertaining and soothing to look at.
