William Kentridge

This drawn animation by William Kentridge shows how innovative you can be with the simple materials of paper and charcoal. I like how the erased lines remain as a "memory" of the drawing process. This is a good example of process and concept working well together in the final product of a video animation using drawing and sound.

  1. I really liked the concept of automatic writing and how the whole video flows with connected lines. Towards the end the figure of the person turns into a cartoon as the continuous line moves to draw different images. A very innovative form of art

  2. I love the art here!! The work is very intricate and looks time consuming, which makes it all the more beautiful. The concept of making shapes over and over to create a series or in this case a video is very creative.
