concentration 1

the persons form is ambiguous, sort of a prototype before any change. The idea was to explore the root of a change amongst other things.

  1. I think this piece is excellent. Mostly, I like the strangeness of it, but I also like the elements that it has in it. The flowers, the teapot and so on. Also, the artist is clearly amazing at oil painting and this is shown through all the different values. What I don't like about the piece is the background. I like the pastel colors, but I don't like is that because all the values of the colors are so similar, and the colors so different, it either doesn't merge enough or merges too much. But otherwise its really cool.

  2. This peice does explore towards the ambiguoity of the person, because I cannot tell if that person has long hair or just a beard. Other than that I like how there are a few random things that are not relevant in the background like the arrows, teapot and the flowers. It simply adds to its confused state before finalizing what it is really meant to be. However, I personally dislike the colours a bit. A bit of bright red could have helped achieve its variety in creating its confused state. Other than my preference for a bit of red, this peice blends in well with its idea

  3. i like your style of art, very abstract and gives viewers second thoughts about it.
the use of random however symbolic figures of change and neutral colors really capture the essence of your art.
however, editing could be improved, more use of contrast and lighting on the piece would make it more appealing. overall, good job.
