Rignor: Woodstock 69'

These are the two pieces I've made this month. I mashed the Woodstock Festival poster with a monkey instead of a bird to show the two Woodstock combined together. The second piece, I drew a monkey singing because I thought it'll be cool :D. This was my first time, drawing with charcoal and I really enjoyed it so both the monkeys are drawn with charcoal and the background is acrylic paint.

  2. I really like the monkey on the second piece; your charcoal work is very commendable! I really liked the colours that were used for the background too - the artists has obviously thought deeply about the merging of Woodstock '69 and Woodstock school.

  3. I love the white detail on the first piece...it gives the piece a sense of rhythm. It also makes it seem like this piece is about country music (at least in my head). I love the second piece! It's funny and well done. Great man!

  5. (second work) It is a very good peice. The curvy designs crawling out of the microphone uniquely blends in well with the red background's lines. The idea of adding in the monkey gives it a funky, and cool look. One thing that could have helped in the blending proccess could have been if the microphone was made by using charcoal. Other than the preference for a good blend between the monkey and the microphone, this peice exudes creativity, uniqueness, and has a nice funky touch to it.

  6. Also, what I think you would help strengthen your pieces would be the incorporation of some elements that clearly symbolize the Woodstock festival. It would make the theme of your portfolio clearer to the viewer and would help in further comprehension.
