Anachronism in Movies

THE GRADUATE
This artwork is based on the movie, The Graduate, starring Dustin Hoffman. This is
one of my favorite movies and this is the most famous scene from it.

THE RED BALLOON
This artwork is from Albert Lamorisse' classic short film, The Red Balloon. This is the opening scene of the movie.

THE KING'S SPEECH
This artwork is based on the King's Speech as well as on artist, Julian Opie's style.

CROWS ZERO
This artwork is based on the characters of Crows Zero, with acrylic paint and watercolour for the faces.

  1. I really like the medium used in the artist's pieces. The pens seemed to help in bringing out the "cartoon-like" aspect of the artworks. Both the pieces have similar colors which could be beneficial for the concentration.

  2. I Really Like How You Re-Created And Give A Different Feeling To These Famous Artworks (Should I Say??), The Manga Effect Really Looks Super Cool And The Use Of Those Idk Wat Pens Which Luks Marker-ish Is Also Awesome.
Hmm I Shud Say The Only Improvement That Can Be Done Is One The Red Baloon It Luks Kinda Rough, It Wud Be Cool If Everything Was Rough But Since Everything Is So Neat Idk Kinda Luks Weird.
    Overall Awesazing Job :D

  3. The Graduate: The overall setting of the piece is well thought through because of this idea of distance that's created. The image gives a almost "movie poster-ish" look which does go along with this concept of anachronism- especially because of the woman's stockings as it illustrates a sense of vintage-ness. Something that could be altered in this piece is the proportion of the legs, it does look like a plump woman's legs but at the same time seems out of proportion. This can be seen especially if you compare the two legs. I do not know if this was painted intentionally, but the blue on the walls and the TV don't look straight and realistic enough. Although colors used are really impressive. Good Job!
